How do you change the color of your team when playing team doubles in Halo 3?

i have seen someone change their team color orange before a team doubles match started. I was wondering if there was a way to do that.

sorry, no.  there's no way you can change the color of your team in team doubles.  you may have seen them change the color of their character BEFORE going into the matchmaking lobby, but there can only be two team colors, red and blue.

You cannnot change your color in matchmaking. Its preset by bungie that there is only Red and Blue. If this did happen, then it had to have been a big glitch. In a custom game you can change your color sometimes (if the option hasnt been disabled by the host) from the pause/start menu or prior to the game starting.
