I can change the background colors through the "personalize" options but there does not appear to be any ability to change text color (I find the default blue hard to read).

  1. Yes you can, if you are using the classic version, I would think the new style works about the same:

To decorate the 'My Yahoo' personal page, it is very cool.  They have lots of options.

    Sign into your 'My Yahoo'

Click the 'change colors' link at the left top of the page

There will be some 'themes' showing, but on the left is a directory for more themes. Click on anyone to see what you like.  Once you select a theme, click 'use this theme' it will take you back to the My Yahoo page

To do the really cool stuff,

Click back on the 'change colors' link

Above the directory, you will see 'Current Theme' which is the one you just selected

On the 'Current Theme' click the link that says 'Customize This Theme'

The next page will be 2 levels, the top are color palettes to change the colors of your Module/ Background/Headers/Sub Headers/Links/Text/etc.

In some of the areas you can change the Text Size/Font Style/Add Boarders/Shadows/etc, so look for those links

The second level will give you a preview of what your page will look like as you change each item.

    Click Finished when you're done.

    Have fun with it

    EDIT NOTE:

If there is no 'customize theme' in the new version then you will have to switch back to the classic version by clicking on the link, should be located center top of page.  Make the changes from here, then switch back to the beta style, the modules & links will be as you made them.
