I dont have a 6d art pen so I cant use the tilt or rotate options. Is there ANY way to change the angle of the palette knife without having to keep going into the d**n angle options to do it? Corel makes it so you almost have to have a 6d art pen/tablet in order to get any decent use out of the palette knife.

I understand how to change rotation. I DO NOT have a 6D art pen or 6D pen capable tablet, nor am I getting one. I understand all the brushes and their functions. I need to know how to get the angle of the Palette knife to change WITHOUT HAVING TO GO INTO THE CONTROLS TO DO SO, AND WITHOUT A 6D ART PEN.

Using pen pressure isnt an option since it is almost impossible to duplicate the exact pressure of the angle I need every time.

  1. I ran into the same frustration. I concluded that it must be the type of pen.  According to the book, you're supposed to merely go into the Brush Control palette and go to the Expressions pop up menu (located directly under "Angle") and select it to "TILT" then, supposedly, whichever direction you tilt the pen, the angle accommodates. I've seen this demonstrated on "YouTube". But . . .  it's never worked for me.  So, I assume that feature is only available if you buy a more expensive tablet. It's puzzling, though, that they don't mention this up front when discussing this particular feature in Painter.

    Good luck, though.
