How do you change the uppercase .JPG or .GIF to lowercase letters?

I recently tried to upload a picture to a website and it told me that I need to submit it as .jpg or .gif in lowercase letters. I would love to know how to change this for future reference.

open a folder on your desktop.

in the tool bar for the folder select "tools" > folder options > view tab > at the bottom of the "advanced settings" section deselect "hide extensions for known file types > OK

find which ever photo you are trying to upload

right click the file > rename > change the file extension from uppercase to lowercase
