How do you change the washer in the washing machine pipe that attaches to the wall not the machine?

turn off tap,unscrew hose,prise out washer,fit new one,s***w hose back on(not too tight or you will distort washer) and turn water back on.

You have to cut the watwer off and them unscrew the s***w in the handle that turns to turn the water supply off/on..then unscrew the s***w on the metal stem and pull the stem out..take to a hardware store..they will give yyou the proper washer...all the answers here are talking about the round rubber washer in the connector hose itself..and not the actual faucet ..

Make sure the water is off.Get a bucket under it to catch leaks and turn the connection counter clockwise.Take a small screwdriver or knife and pry the old one out.Put the new one in place and tighten by hand until it's tight; then a 1/4 turn with pliers .Turn on water and check for leaks.
