How do you change your Nintendo wii into color?

i just purchased a brand new nintendo wii, and the picture is showing up in black and white.

* we have checked all of the connections & they are correct.

* we have tried changing the color/picture settings on the tv.

but it still isnt seeming to work.

please help me.

Well in some cases with certain tv's videogames may not fully be supported. try this, (1)plug in another console and see if that console is displayed in black & white. (2)If that console displays in color, your wii's av cords may not be supportive of your tv. (3)If this is the case buy a replacement from your local game store (not an official av cable through nintendo), and test that cord. (4)If it still doesn't display color i highly suggest getting a new tv. If it is a new tv, you may need to switch the settings to 1080p i believe. Also make sure no other av cables from any other device are connected. Some tv's (mostly apex) with dual av sockets, (back/side) have connection sharing problems even if only 1 is on.
