How do you change your deviant art avatar?

Question

I know that lots of people have asked these kinds of questions before but i still cant change my own avatar.

when I go to seetings and click either change avatar or author tag nothing happens at all.

I've tried waiting, cliking it multiple times, and even going to adress deviant art suggested for changing avatars but nothings been working and its really getting me mad.

so I need some help since i guess I'm horrible at fixing stuff on the computer.

Please tell me what to try!!!
