How do you change your public appearance? -on yahoo-?

Well i did make my appearance only once but i look all over my profile page and i cant change it a second time

You should be able to change it as often as you want.

Go into your profile, and click on where it says 'edit my info' in blue. On the new page, look at the section called 'picture'. All the way to the right, you should see 'edit my yahoo avatar' in blue under your picture. Click on that and it will take you to where you make your changes. Remember to 'save' when you're done.

You should know that Yahoo has been having some problems with avatars recently. Normally, an update should take effect in an hour or two to a day or two, but lately it has sometimes taken as much as a week. You may need extra patience.
