How do you charge an electirc moped?

can you jsut take the battery out to charge or does the whole moped need to be hooked up to a plug socket? as it wont be possible if the whole moped is connected to plug socket

depends on the type of battery.  If you have a charger at home that does 6, 12, or 24 volts and provides a trickle charge then pull the battery.  If you do not have a charger, then you have to leave the battery in the  moped, because that is what regulates the charge rate and time of charge to keep from overheating the battery and possibly causing it to go bad.
