Most Caps include a resistor that is used to "fill" the cap. If you do not have the resistor a 12volt test light will work. You simply connect the cap with the resistor or 12v test light and allow it to "fill", then connect it without the resistor. If you have a fuse block like you should you can wire it all up with the fuses OUT and just place the resistor or 12volt test light across the fuse terminal.  Once the cap has stopped filling remove the resistor and replace the fuse.

People are going to respond by telling you Capacitors do not work. These people are wrong, Capacitors do what they claim, release stored energy when the potential vehicles charging system drops below the potential of the Cap.
