How do you check and validate a licence?

Hello, my question is quite serious as my younger brother has bought a licence from a company called www.aldalegal.com, he has before been scammed trying the same with another company on the web.

Still the licence has been delivered and appears to be genuine, only I very much would like to be able to check on this as it is a serious issue should he drive on a unregistered licence.

Please I appeal to anyone whom can inform me where, I repeat where I can check on this before my kid brother get his car as he is looking now... Please help?

To begin with it is a scam because you cannot buy a drivers license..

It is simple to check a licence, just telephone DVLA ask them what categories u have on the licence as you plan to rent a car or something and do not have your licence to hand.
