do you mean the ignition control modlule if so you have to take it to a parts store like oreilly's and they can test it

distributor components include;  the ignitor, ignition coil, pole piece / crank position sensor.

it's not to sanitary but you can suck on the hose attached to it and plug it with your tounge.

if the vacuum bleeds down, it's bad

assuming a vacuum unit
