How do you check the emergency brake cables (all 3) on a 1993 Toyota 4 Runner? Where are they located?

I'm assuming one of the cables broke because it made a loud pop one day and now the brake has no tension. I need to take it in to the shop but I would like check and see if I can figure out which side it is myself. I know there is a cable on each side (Left, Right, Rear) Any ideas?

my idea would be to get on your back and get under the truck and have a look. have one person move the parking brake in the truck while you look underneath. there is a front cable, a left rear cable, and a right rear cable
