How do you choose a role model player?

I'm going to be playing in my high school's girls basketball team this year. I watch a lot of NBA games, including the US vs. China Olympics in Beijing, and I want to find a player that I can concentrate on and learn a lot from.

I'm 6'0 (pretty tall for a girl), and usually I play Center in the school team. I'm not exactly known to be "great" at anything, even though I'm pretty good at lay ups, but I want to improve as a player altogether so I can become on the best on the team.

Thanks for any advice.
