How do you cite this?!?

Okay, so, I have to cite this quote from for my project and it's from a book of coarse. So the parts I need to cite are from 2 diffrent pages. Usually if you cite something it would look like this:

"blahblahblahblah" (Author, 56)

But I have two pages, 60 and 87. How would it look with the authors name too?

And, when you cite do you add the period at the end before the ending quotation marks?

So would it look like this: "Hello, my name is dorathy."

Or would it look like this:"Hello, my name is dorathy"

The diffrence between them is one has a period at the end white the other doesn't.

Please help!

10 points easy. Sorry if I confused you!

  1. If your doing an internal citation ie. the quote will be incorporated into a sentence then it would look like this: (Author 60, 87)

There shouldn't be a comma after the author's name (Author 56)

For the second part: the period would be on the outside of the quotation marks if the quote is at the end of a sentence

For example: She eagerly greeted him with "Hello, my name is Dorathy".

If its in the middle of a sentence, there should be a comma before the quotation mark.

For example: She greeted him with "Hello, my name is Dorathy," which emphasized her displeasure.
