How do you claim a tax rebate? I have my P60 what do i do now?

  1. What makes you think you are due a rebate? When PAYE is operated correctly, no refund should arise. If your form P60 is for all tax year, imput into www.listentotaxman to check position. If you consider refund is due, end it to tax office, and ask for position to be checked.

  3. even if you were on PAYE, you may be due a rebate if during any tax year you were paying tax at the standard rate and then were not employed at the end of the tax year

    best thing to do is write to them and ask for a check for the last 6/7 years (they can only go back a set number of years)

  4. Write to the HMRC office shown on the P60 and request that they check your position and make a refund if appropriate.
