  1. You keep them in a 5 gallon heated filtered tank like you are supposed to and then you only do 10% partial water changes weekly.

  2. ok first get a 5 gallon for each of your betta is is suprising how one has no room to swim in a bowl betta must be in 5 gallon tanks EACH and after you get them the 5 gallons buy a gravel vacuum such as this:

  3. Try scooping them out gently with the containers you keep them in during water changes.  Never chase them around the tank, since this just stresses them out.  If you want, you could feed them while they're in the containers--eventually they'll associate the containers with food, and will swim into them on their own.

If you upgrade their homes, however, you could cycle them and then you wouldn't have to worry about scooping them out at all.  I suggest reading up on fish tank cycling online.  Your bettas will appreciate bigger, cycled tanks!

  4. oh... I love people who just try to get people who actually care about fish upset. if this happens every week (which is how often you should be doing water changes) that means you're buying 4 new bettas every week because some how instead of scooping the fish out of the drain you manage to hit a switch on your wall?

I have a hard time believing this is true, but if by some odd chance it is, just do yourself a favor and stop getting fish. you also might want to get rid of the garbage disposal if you're accidentally turning it on while trying ot get things out of it... if, as I suspect, it's not true... get a life.

  5. you must keep them in a filteed and heated tank then you won't have to remove them at all.when you clean the gravel and things

  6. put them in an actual bowl (like a classic goldfish type one) and/or put a sink strainer in so they don't go down the drain if they do end up in the sink

  7. you can get these pipes that clean out the tank all you do is put one end in the tank suke the pipe and empty water into buket ant it cleans all the stones and its really good i forgot what there called go to a pet shop they all have them and they not expensive ether

  8. Put your hand over the net until you get them in the extra water, set aside for them to use, until you clean their bowl.  It would help if you put a drain closure over the open drain.

    Good luck.
