How do you clean a dusty candle?

I have a candle that I haven't used in a while and dust has collected in and on it...how should it be cleaned?

  1. This is a two-step process: first, rinse the candle under lukewarm water and shake it a bit to dry. Then, if it's a straight, unadorned candle, use a terry rag to "buff" the candle. I do this often with very old candles, which develop a powdery appearance. I purposely store them so this will develop, especially on fancy candles. Then I buff off some of the powder and leave other parts untouched. It's a great look!

  4. Well first off don't use any cleaning products because most of them say right on the bottle, HIGHLY FLAMABLE!!! Just use water and a damp towel, not soked though, wring the water out well, and just wipe the candle off! That should do it huh!
