Simple Green All Purpose Cleaner can be used to clean greasy spills stubborn food stains on the surface of a glass cook-top. If you use Simple Green to clean heavy or cooked on food stains you will need to use as heavy as a 1:3 dilution ratio. It is very important to pre-wet the surface, not to allow the Simple Green solution to dry onto the surface and to give it a good rinse. Scrubbing with a non-abrasive scrubber or nylon, soft bristle brush will certainly help as well.

  1. The best way is with baking soda and salt. Wet the surface, then sprinkle on some baking soda and salt. If you need it to be a little stronger, add some lemon juice, too.Let sit for a few minutes, then go back and scrub the surface then rinse thoroughly. With this method, you don't have to use chemical cleaners of any sort.

  2. Dilute vinegar with water... it is basically Windex.
