I have a baby blue coach vinyl purse. over the years a grease like residue has formed around the stitching and leather areas. i have tried to use warm water with mild soap and a bristle brush but it hasnt worked. I am not sure how to clean it and have no idea what the residue/stains are - i just know that they are heavily soiled and look like grease.

  1. Try leather cleaner, or any product that is safe to use on fabrics (spray and wash or shout). Stay away from bleaches, and possibly anything containing citrus. Good luck!

  2. I like "goof off" or "goo be gone."  They are at your nearest hardware store.  Watch out-  it has a really strong smell.  Also test this on a hidden spot to make sure it is colorfast.

  3. You could try concentrated orange cleaner, neat and leave on a while before scrubbing gently with a fine bristled nail brush. You should not need to treat as in leather if its vinyl .  The orange cleaner smells lovely and fresh and its probably what your goo cleaner is mostly made of anyway . Orange cleaner concentrate is available at cleaning supplies shops - not usually the supermarket. You can use it for a multitude of cleaning solutions as a concentrate or diluted - its marvellous for getting off sticky things, grease and for most general cleaning so you can save money on all of those cleaners

  4. try spraying on some 409 and use a soft bristled brush or what about some stain remover like spray&wash???good luck!
