How do you clean a stick blender

i have a stick blender and i do not know how to clean it

Take the stick blender and "blend" warm soapy water. Some stick blender have a detachable piece too.  This piece should be dish washer safe.

~~I know mine can't be put in the didshwasher. I clean it by setting it into a cup of HOT soapy water, and just let it sit for a while. Then when rinsing off, just take a vegetable or dish brush and go around it a bit, Gets it really clean. Don't forget to put about three drops of Canola Oil on it (turn upside down and let it get into the stem part), this keeps it running smooth for years.~~
