How do you clean a stone/marble kitchen sink that is stained?

I think we need a bit more info on this one...... What color is the marble? Is it finished, or rough and porous?  What is it stained with?  Food? Rust? Lime?.... If it's appropriate for the surface, I would suggest bleach.  Or maybe try one of thse all in one calcim-lime-rust removers......  Just check the back of any cleaning product first to see if it works on the surface that you have.
