I heard sourkraut, but I don't have any at the moment so I am soaking the pot in some vinegar overnight. Any other home remedies??

  1. Sandblasting......

Seriously, Unless it's a $125 Emerill LaGasse, just buy a new pot.

  2. Take the pot, set it on the stove, turn it on and allow the vinegar to heat very hot but not boiling. Grab your rubber gloves and a 3m scrubber such as dobie and the crud should just come off pretty easily. Allowing it to sit overnight will get the surface mess but it will not penetrate the entire mess and crud will still be on there tomorrow. Tossing a bit of baking soda into the pot after the vinegar is hot will add some additional scrubbing action to the mix or if you don't have that, salt works beautifully too.

  3. Try scrubbing it with a Brillo pad.

  4. TRY A BOTTLE OF COKE BOIL ON THE STOVE AND LET STAND FOR 10 MINUTES

  5. I've used cream of tartar.take and put water in the pot with cream of tartar.enough water to cover the burnt  even if you put a little more up above were it's burnt.then add about a teaspoon of cream of tartar, put on low heat;bring to a boil but don't let boil over turn it down if it does this let boil about 10-15 min.stir the pot then take it off the stove wash with a rag or something or a light scrubber.sometimes you may have to repeat this a few times until it all gone, depending on how bad it is...hope this works for you.

  6. The vineger should work... Expeirement with different things like Borax, soap, Clorax, Window cleaner.. be creative lol.. i dont really know..

  7. We've all been there. According to WikiHow, scrape out as much as you can, fill the pot with water and let it set overnight. You could put it on the stove and let it simmer over very low heat. Depending on the type of pot, it may have a tendency to burn easier the next time you use it. Just depends on the type. If you manage to get it clean, you may want to season it by putting oil in it and bringing it up to a medium, medium high heat and then letting it cool.
