My mom and I are trying to clean off an old chandelier. It has numerous hanging glass pieces. How would we clean the pieces and the chandelier?

  1. The glass pieces should be removable. Take those off and wash in warm dish water and dry with a cloth diaper. For the brass, buy a brass cleaner (cleaning aisle at Lowes) and also use a cloth diaper. Once the glass pieces are dry and the brass part of the chandelier is clean, hang the glass pieces back up and enjoy! I do this with my grandma all the time!

  2. You will have to take off the crystal droplets one by one- wash in   lemon dish soap & very hot water dry with a clean soft cloth and then spary with Windex.  It is a lot of work but it will look  super bright when it is finished.

    Have fun

  3. the glass you should use gin ................it's the way it was done in the big houses of the past ................the brass use a brass cleaner

  4. You can either clean it one piece at a time....or check with your store ( Walmart or Target ) for the spray on cleaner. There is a chandelier cleaner that you can spray on and all the dirt drips off with the wet bubbles....just make sure you put a big shower curtain or large plastic sheet under it to catch all the drops so it doesn't ruin your table or floor.

  5. For the glass use windex

for the chandlier usean alaround surface cleaner.

Make sure to use a smal cloth
