Muriatic acid is good for cleaning brick but be careful it's caustic.

Follow instructions and ventilate well if you use it.

a slightly difficult but effective way is to scrub the floor with a mix of warm water and some amonia and lift it out with a wet dry vac. then a rinse with some warm water and vinegar and then wet/dry vac again. Keep the wndows openc and let it dry. This leaves no soapy residue.
