How do you clean dirty marks off a painted wall?

I've moved out of a rented house and the real estate are complaining about marks on one of the bedroom walls. My housemate must have very dirty hair because right where his head lays in bed there are dirty marks on the wall. I've cleaned the walls thoroughly yet they remain. Is there anything that will clean these dirty marks without damaging the walls (very light cream colour) or needing to repaint them? Please keep in mind these walls are in desperate need of repainting anyway but that is the owners responsibility I just need these dirty marks gone.

  3. You really need a magic eraser

  4. Try baking soda and a very damp, not wet, rag. Dip the rag into the baking soda and rub gently in circles. Apply more baking soda as needed. This should take the marks off. Then wipe off the area with a different clean damp rag. Hope this helps. Good luck!

  5. paint the original colour over it

  6. Use a Mr. Clean magic eraser.  Located in the cleaning products isle of you local supermarket. It will amaze you! They are pretty cheap too!
