How do you clean rust stains from fabric?

Lemon juice.  Rub a cut lemon over the stains or saturate with lemon juice, lay the fabric out in the sun until dry.

There are rust removers, Whink Rust Remover has been on the market for 60+ years.  Alas, it's hard to find as most people just toss stained clothes these days.  I find it at Ace Hardware stores or the like.
