okay, well i just recieved a sword, and its a stainless steel sword (pakistinian it says right on it) and it needs cleaned up. so i need to know how to clean it and it has rust spots and i dont want to hurt the sword. i know the results of what the results could be if i just go out and try something. (idc if my sword is valuable which it probably isnt but idc if it is or if it isnt i just want it to look good) so please give me some tips or something on how to clean it up and remove the rust spots. (im thinking fine steel whool?) do not say wd-40 because its made with some things that actually cause rust, wd40 = bad for stainless steel (i did a lil research but didnt get exactly what i wanted)

btw i will be posting replys of my own to fill you guyz in so like bookmark the page or something so you can reply to my replies okay?

thanks

  1. okay well dont make fun of it being from pakistan lol its better than china or japan XD well i wont call it rust spots i probably shouldnt have said that it sounds like what you said water spots and stuf yea, im thinking im going to clean it up with steel wool i think that will do fine (best answer thanks bro)

  2. naval jelly may work! i don't know if they make it for stainless

    steel. check it out,

  3. Stainless with rust spots?????

    (Well, it does say 'Pakistan`...)

    Might be surface water/dirt marks.

If not try steel or bronze wool.

(Bronze wool is softer than the steel and wont

harm even a soft steel's finish.)
