How do you clean wall with flat paint?

my landlord painted the house with a flat pant you can't clean the walls he wont let us paint the walls what can i use Help

What about water and vinegar or water and lemon juice? You could also try Fantastic, although that could remove some paint...

Mr Clean magic eraser is the only thing that can help in this situation. Any and all chemicals applied to flat paint will remove paint as well as leave a nasty looking mark on the wall. Re-painting the walls is a moot point unless you re-paint every wall in the room as even paint from the same can 3 months later will not completely match as the lighting in a room dramatically affects the color as it is exposed to the light. Flat paint is used in most apartments as they know you cannot clean it so they can keep your deposit.

Welcome to the club. I too have the flat paint. Sniff...

After months of searching over the internet and interviewing people from home depots, all they can say is that flat paint is impossible to clean. GRRR...

Well, here is how I maintain our walls:

1. I vacuum it regularly. Make sure your brush is clean.

2. I clean dirt marks with MR. CLEAN MAGIC ERASER.

The Magic Eraser is the only product that erases the dirt without leaving a mark on the wall. I tried to wash a part with soap and water before and it ended up a darker color when it dried up.

The only consolation to us it that flat paint is considered as one of the most elegant finishes out there. It looks very nice and photographs really well.

multisurface cleaner no hard scrubbing let it dry. Or my favorite, Paint.  Get paint that matches what is there.  Paint over the mess when first option can't get it clean
