How do you clean/wash white vans?

oops...i 4got 2 mention dat i do not mean vans as in vehicles.....i mean the shoes

Vans sells a gel cleaner for the shoes for $5, and they also have a water and stain shield that you can buy and spray on your shoes before you ever wear them.

Simple use a product that is made for washing to whiten such as one made for soaking what we call nappies in Australia or I believe that they call them diapers in some countries - let them have a good soak in a bucket with some hot water and product until they come clean to your satisfaction. A scrub with a bristle nail brush is also good and you can even finish them off in the washing machine on a regular cycle if you wish or just spin them dry after rinsing well. Dry in the sun it will help bleach them even more. If you are concerned about shrinkage then stuff something like some crumpled plastic into the body of the shoe as it dries to keep a good shape - the plastic will not absorb the water and help it to dry faster or you can hang them by the laces to the clothes line if you want

glad you clarify that.  was going to tell you a car wash.  are they leather?  i use to put my leather sneakers in the wash with a few towels.  then sit on top of dryer to dry.
