  1. clearifier and algicide.. you can also shock the pool which is (extra concentrated chlorine) and leave the pump on at all times..

  2. you have to take a sample up to a pool place and they will tell you EXACTLY what you need. These people on here don't know what your pools looks like.

  3. Hello,

I can give you the common culprits for cloudy water - you will need to check from there:

    1)  High TDS (pool stores can test for this!) You use a clarifier so the filter can filter them out.

    2)  Low Free Chlorine level - Add chlorine or a chlorine based shock.

    3) High Chlorine level (yes! it's true)  You can get chlorine remover or just pee in your pool (lol)

    4)  High Calcium Hardness - pool shops can test for this or you can get a test strip

    5)  High pH:  To fix just drop your pH level.

Of course it could be a combination of these factors as well - more than one culprit!

  4. USE CLARIFIER AND LEAVE THE PUMP RUNNING.THAT SHOULD CLEAR IT UP.

  5. chlorine....lots of chlorine......and stop peeing in it

  6. I would stay as far away from the pool stores as possible. I've had clients take water samples to 3 different pool stores and had radically different results. Shock you pool with granular chlorine (shocking is a verb and not a noun) and get the chlorine level up to at least 11ppm until that level holds overnight (doesnt drop more than 1ppm). This will ensure that all organics are dead. Also granular chlorine is not concentrated. Most chlorine pucks people use contain about 90% chlorine. The granular chlorine ranges from 50-65%. Lower concentration- it just dissolves very quickly releasing more chlorine faster. Get your pH down to 7.2-7.4. Chlorine is more effective at these levels. Vacuum your pool to waste if possible. Check your filter and clean it when the pressure rises 10-15psi higher than normal. If your filter does not have a pressure gauge check the cartridge daily and clean as necessary. Add some clarifier but follow the directions. Too much can make the pool worse.

  7. You can use water clarifier & use lots of shock to help clear up a pool.
