how do i do that?

i have a reg dell

  1. reset it to factory settings. that should do it


  2. I believe dell has a restore partition on the hard drive when booting,press <ctrl> <F11>.

  3. You have to re-install the operating system, boot up from the operating system CD and go from there.

  4. Do you mean like when you got the machine from Dell?

    You would backup your personal data files.

    Then, apply the restore disc that shipped with the Dell or use boot disks and reformat and reinstall the O/S.

    Because usually clones are OEMs, you have to use the restore CD because they usually don't have the O/S on separate discs etc.
