How do you clear search history on pc?

I can clear the google box but the main but how do I completely clear the top one? Thanks.

you can by clicking control and "h" and the same time. then a box will come up on the left side giving you the options you want...today. 7 days ago, etc etc

go  into tools and click on  delete browsing history  and then click on delete all
