How do you clear the words in new blank document?

i have microsoft office: mac 2008. However, everytime i open the new blank document, one of the essay i wrote always open as a new blank document. how do i fix that?

you've apparently set that doc to be your standard template instead of the regular blank template (normal.dot in windows systems).  I'm not sure where the setting is in mac 2008.  Do a search in your help screens for normal template and see where it's set.

Are you trying to say that when you try to open a new document it comes up as a old saved document instead? The question is a little unclear.
