How do you compare the Phillies and Mets on all levels?

Offense - Defense - Pitching - Bullpen - Fans - Players

Which are better, which more respectable, and which do you prefer?

Who will take the division?

Offense - Phillies, i mean utley, burrell, howard, mets dont have that

Defense - Phillies, we have a strong defense, and pedro only helped this year with that

Pitching - the mets win this, santana is pretty good

Bullpen - the Phillies, how many games have the mets bull pen blown? they are terrible, while the phillies are among the top

Fans - new yorkers are just plain a holes, philly fans stay behind there teams and are more loyal

players - Phillies, less arogant and cocky

Offense- Phillies. The Phillies Have Howard Burrell Rollins Utley and Victorino who are all starting to heat up. not to mention jayson werth who is having a career year. The big offensive names on the mets are Wright, Beltran, and Reyes. Delgado has not been consistent enough this year to be put up with that.

Defense- I would have to say they are about even. I think the mets have a stronger infield than the phillies with the gold glover wright and the speedy reyes. Also Luis Castillo knows how to play defense and pretty much anyone can outplay Howard at 1st in defense. Rollins and Utley are having off years on defense. On the other hand Burrell and Victorino have great arms and Werth and Victorino have great speed. Mets have a stronger infield, the phils have a stronger outfield.

Pitching- Santana<Hamels, Maine<Blanton, Moyer<Perez, Pelfrey<Kendrick, Myers<Martinez. Mets-3, Phils-2.

Bullpen- Phillies. Lidge, Madson, Condrey, and Romero have been very strong. Billy Wagner is injured. the mets bullpen is just terrible

Fans- About even. some phillies fans boo santa clause and one of the best shortstops in the league (but i dont) which is kind of annoying. the mets fans are too cocky though.

Players- Well i like the Phillies players better because im a fan so i wont use this category.

Phillies win. i think they will take the division especially since they have heated up recently

Offense:

The Phillies hands down. They have an offense that can consistently put up a lot of runs. They have a line up that pitching staffs must respect.

Defense: I don't really know about the defense of either teams. The Mets have an awesome defensive third baseman, I do know that. I can't really say who is better in this category. Sorry.

Pitching:

The Mets. They have two good starters, and Maine and Pelfrey can be solid as well. Perez is very inconsistent. The Phillies have Hamels, but that is about it. Blanton will not be a great pitcher. I know this because I watched him in Oakland. I'm an A's fan.

Bullpen:

The Phillies. The Mets bullpen is horrendous. The Phillies have a very closer which is something the Mets don't have. Wagner is pretty good, but he is nowhere near Lidge this year.

Fans:

The Mets. Their fans can be as*holes, but every team has bad fans. The fans who follow the Phillies are too quick to boo someone. They called for Burrells head last year, and I am always hearing about them booing other players.

Players:

Both teams have players whom I like. I dislike Jimmy Rollins because of his cockyness. He shouldn't have said what he did about the fans of Philadelphia. I do not care for Reyes either. I do like Utley, Howard, Moyer, Santana, Beltran, and Wright. Overall I like each teams players equally.

The division race will probably be very close all the way to the end. I see the Mets comming out on top only because of their starting pitching. Ten runs means nothing when you give up eleven. If the Phillies had one more good starter then I would have picked them to win it.
