How do you completely delete a facebook account?

I know you can disable it, but I want to completely delete it so I can make a new one. Help?

Go to this page: http://www.facebook.com/help/contact.php...

Select the checkbox and click "Submit".

You will get an automated response saying Facebook has received your request. After that it will take 2-3 days before your account is actually deleted.

You don't really need to completely delete it to make a new one; however the instructions are there for you ;)

just register with a new email address, there are plenty of free email accounts available so just choose one eg gmail, yahoo hotmail etc

I encountered the same problem and got tired of trying to discover how to delete it and just created a new account with a new email.. hope this helps

on the very top of the page there will be account.. click on it..  the last word u see must be deactivate account, and on its right there ill be deactivate in blue.. click it.. there ill be a new list.. click ur excuse to delete facebook but Even after you deactivate, your friends can still invite you to events, tag you in photos, or ask you to join groups.. btw this dosent permanently delete it.. only u wont appear on searches or on ur friends lists
