Companies have millions. They send receipts, and your product is guranteed.

I want to buy a piece of artwork from a artist, but I think If I send him the $250. There's no gurantees that he'll send anything.

C.O.D. ( cash - on - delivery ) would be nice.

If I could send a check, and put a freeze on it, until I get what I bought.

I would do that, is that possible ?

If he sent me the artwork first, then I paid him. Not that I wouldn't, but there's no gurantees that he'd recieve the payment.

If I send him the money first, and wait for the art. He might not send it.

So what do I do in a situation like this ?

  1. I think you are being paranoid and this is the reason that artists use galleries - to avoid the hassle.

The easiest thing to do is carry cash, go get the painting, hand the artist the cash and take the painting with you.

COD is bad on something because it costs the sender money if you don't pay, plus shipping damage.

No, you can't put a freeze on a check until something is delivered.

For serious amounts of money (thousands of dollars) you could put the money in escrow with a bank which would hold it until the shipment had arrived and been paid for.

  2. Do not send cash, other wise we will see here asking how do I get my money back, lol

    Use paypal
