How do you confirm on the ipod touch that there is water damage?

i think there is water in it because it doesnt work anymore...wont even turn on its only a few weeks old...

  1. That is unfortunate, have you had it in or around water since you bought it? Your best bet is to bring it into where you bought it and ask them


  2. In the headphone jack is peice of paper made there

    If it is blue/white no water damage

    If it is pink...then water is inside

  3. Actually, it cant be said 4 sure. U gotta get it to an authorized service provider. iPods many times do not turn on due to total battery loss. This can be fixed by simply recharging. But since u have mentioned that there might be a possible wetness then I cant suggest u 2 recharge. because if its actually wet then recharging will cause a short circuit. but i dont think its a water leakage problem but still I cant say 4 sure.

    To confirm it the way an Apple specialist will, look into the headphone socket and at the bottom where there is some white paper; it should have changed colour.

    Maybe it just needs a good old charge or something, kiss it better.

  5. lol just take it back to the store and say it stopped working... they'll probably give you a new one!

    (just don't mention the whole "water" issue... haha)
