  1. Ideally you need to know what those two jacks are.  I remember on my old Sony there was one labelled 'AV' (Audio/Video) and the other was the headphone socket!

You probably need a SCART to S-Video Phono connector

You can usually find these a lot cheaper in £1 Shops and even in out of town supermarkets.

  2. The DVD player has to be connected from the scart socket, or from the phono sockets, to another scart or phono socket on another device - as your TV does not have a scart socket, you will need something like a VCR, to plug in your DVD into, and then take the video lead from the VCR into the aerial socket of your TV.   Switch the VCR to AV, to pick up the DVD going through the VCR to your TV, and remember to tune your TV to the channel on which your VCR is putting out the signal.

  3. It will tell you in the user manual!

Check what input your tv uses probably scart!

  4. Yes they still can do this, Have you put a scart lead from the back of the tv to the dvd? if there is no connection for a scart (oblong with lots of little pins in it) then you will have 3 coloured connection points, possibly on the front of tv, connect like colour to colour......

  5. Use a scart connector.
