Im playing on Animal Crossing and Im new to this so like I've added some friend codes but when I click on the key it says:

To get your friend code, connect to Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection first.

And like I talk to Copper he always asks me to do DS to DS or Nintendo WFC and I don't get what he is on about. So like Im really confused at the moment.

  1. well first you'll need to have wireless internet or be in a free "hotspot" where you can pick up internet for free then go into the settings in the game and then into wfc settings. then automatic search and it should find the internet router. then save the settings and you can play against your mates online

  2. Ds to ds means someone near to you wfc means someone far away with a friend code, you will need to buy a message in a bottle and release it into the sea before he will connect you.

  3. Friend to friend- this means 2 DS's in the same room/very close.

Nintendo WFC- this is a connection over the internet. The DS can be as far away as you want. However, you MUST connect your DS to the internet. To do this you need either wireless internet yourself or to be in a hotspot. When you turn the DS on there is an option to search for any wireless internet connections.

If you have wired internet you can buy a little dongle that plugs into the USB port and allows the DS to connect to it (it's about £30 new).

  4. well, if you have wireless internet, you can go to the WFC settings in your game and set it up so that you're linked up to your internet. After that, you test the connection and see if it works. It's pretty much the same for any other game. If you need more help, you can always check your game booklet.
