How do you connect to the zune software as a guest?

I have an 80 gb zune and i don't want to waste space on my laptop, so i always delete the songs and music there so i have room. but every time that i connect it, it always deletes my music. I've read that you could remedy this by connecting as a guest, but i don't know how. Could someone tell me?

Open the Zune program and connect your Zune. Click  on device>settings>sync options>forget this device. Then reconnect as a guest.

Or you could do what I did and get an external hard drive to put all of your Zune files on. That came in handy when I had to sync a new Zune and when I had to erase all the content and resync the Zune.
