When I took my SAT Math for the first time....It was hard as ****, that I had to be at a point to guess ALL the Math Questions (none of it was familar and I really suck at Math) and it was all Word Problems but some was equations....I got 1160 or 1260/2400 (HORRIBLE for first try) and the only study was from Sparknote's SAT I Study guide (uhhh it helped a little?)

but on the writing(essay) I got about 8/12 and I didn't even finished my third para? and on my verbal and writing I got 30 % (about half) but on Math I got 12%!!!!!

How do you Conquer the SAT MATH SECTIONS???

The Writing (Essay) and Verbal is easy for me (just need a little improvements on it)

What studyguide should I use now (princeton review, barron..etc.?)

Where and how do you find out to register for SAT Classes to help on your next SATs?

and I need about 2000 or above to get into at least UCLA, USC, UC San Diego, UC Riverside, etc.!!!!!! (all in California)

and important q; How do you get 2000/2400???

  1. The SAT Math is not as big a mystery as many people think it to be. In May, I took the SAT Is and recieved an 800, or perfect score (though I bombed the other 2 sections). Fortunately for you, it is easier to improve on your Math score then the other sections, which are, to put it simply, based on how much you read (which is complete c**p but makes sense because I haven't even read a book in three years for school because of sparknotes). I personally am a gifted Math student and have been in AP/Honors classes all three years, so it was not a problem for me. However, my best friend was exactly in your shoes. He got an 800 reading and 730 writing, but was in the low 600s in math on a full length practice test. Anyway, my friend simply studied practice tests from the last three years and improved to a 700. I know it isn't an 800, but it is good enough if your other scores rock. Simply, my friend just did test after test after test and realized that almost all have the exact same questions. I know that it isn't a quick fix that you are looking for (as I am with critical reading), but it is the best way. All the private tutors do the same thing, but go over the answers you don't know. Therefore, find a friend who is good at math, take a practice test, then ask him/her for 10 minutes and go over the hard answers. You will improve tremendously. Trust me. Anyway, good luck in your college quest and have a great summer.
