  1. Fill out the application as a transfer student.  Send in the required transcripts.  Wait for a response.  If admitted you usually need to send in final transcripts with final grades from current semester.  That's about it.  You don't need to tell your existing college that you're leaving -- simply not registering for a semester will have your automatically disenrolled.

  2. You fill out a transfer application, that's it. You apply just like you would as a freshman.

  3. The best and smartest way to do this is to contact your counselor at your community college. They will check out all your classes and credits etc and then tell you what your missing or will tell you to apply and get ready to transfer. They should and will lay out a plan for you.

You need to FIRST figure out what colleges or college you want to transfer to and then see if you satisfy their REQUIREMENTS. Then figure out when to apply either by looking at the website or asking your community college counsellor.

They are also agreements that you can make with colleges where you are guarenteed to get into the college. Ask your counsellor. go ASAP.

  4. If you go to the university's website, they usually have contact numbers or transfer centers you can go to or call.  Some places call it "outreach" so you can contact them like that.  Try to go to your community college's counseling / transfer center first and see if they can help you, but I've done both, (talk to counselor and called outreach for universities) Good luck to you!
