  1. Well, there are a lot of very EFFECTIVE ways of preventing carbon emissions, like using cars which are pollution checked, and also by walking short distances, or cycling. Factories should be controlling the amount of fumes they let out and we should reduce active and passive smoking.

Well, the list goes on , but when all this WILL actually happen is something i really can't say.

  2. Take the oath - no!  The only thing "man made" abut Global Warming (Climate Change) is the danger hype!

Global Warming (Climate Change) is a normal cycle that the earth goes through!  In the past BILLION years there have been tens of thousands of CLIMATE CHANGE CYCLES!

Since the Cold War ended the news media needed another "DANGER" to hype so that humans could fear something!  During the Cold War we had the FEAR that we would be incinerated in a nuclear explosion - Reagan ended the Cold War and now we need another fear and GLOBAL WARMING IS THAT FEAR!

During the Cold War the Military Industrial Complex made billions of dollars off of that fear!  There are companies and individuals in this world who are in place to make BILLIONS of dollars off this new fear!  Fat Al Gore made 100 million dollars last year.  Big companies like GE will make billions of dollars!   Follow the money!

Polar Bears are not dying off!  Antarctica is not breaking apart.  (Antarctica is a huge continent, larger than the U.S. and Europe!)  Bits and pieces fall off all the time, for 10,000 years!  Center of that continent is increasing in ice mass!

We have more trees now than 1000 years ago!  Human beings put out forest fires.  Forest fires (lightning strikes cause it in nature) destroy millions of acres of trees and wild life - humans put fires out!  The forests that burn up every year and often those forests where logging has been denied!

When loggers come into a forest, they do harvest trees, they do leave trees for later and they re-plant trees!  Best thing is that they build roads, clean up brush and sometimes install water lines.  When a fire breaks out the fire department can use those roads and water to put the fires out.  Forests without where logging was prevented burn to the ground killing millions of animals!

Banning DDT saved a few birds from soft or brittle egg shells!  Banning DDT also resulted in the deaths of millions of human beings who get malaria and other pest born diseases!

Not everything you read about is true when it comes to selling the notion that humans are destroying Earth and are the cause of Climate Change!  (Mars has a Global Warming going on just now!)

Follow the money!   Al Gore and his Ponzi Scheme scheme of "Carbon Credit/Carbon Emissions" is a scam!  This carbon Emissions c**p harms more than it does any good!

Yes, we should conserve more - but energy replacements for oil is far in the future!   The U.S. and the world will always need oil for energy!   We also need more refineries, more oil wells opened up and to be able to utilize our huge coal deposits!  The U.S. alone has one of the largest sources of coal in the world!  Coal can be converted to a fluid fuel - this is old technology!  Our new technology can do it cleaner, cleaner than the oil we import form other countries!   We need more nuclear power plants too (like France!)  What we have is spineless politicians who are in the pockets of Environmental Lobbies!

    FOLLOW THE MONEY!

  3. Our old vehicles, in a small town,...in India; before they change their cars, tractors and trucks, .....the olden models...!

  4. 1. Change your bulbs

Replace your most frequently used bulbs with compact fluorescents (CFLs). These use four times less energy and last eight times longer.

    2. Drive less

Walk, bike, car pool or take public transport at least once a week if you are a daily driver. You'll save 1.5 kg carbon dioxide for every 5 km you don't drive. Switch off your car if you stop for more than two minutes.

    3. Keep your tyres inflated .

This improves the fuel efficiency of your car. Every litre of petrol saved keeps 2.5 kg of carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere. Using radial tyres will help you save 3 to 7 % of fuel

    4. Use solar energy

Sunlight can be used in many ways to save energy. Use a solar water heater instead of an electric geyser. A 100-litre solar water heater can save around 15 units of electricity every year.

    5. Plant more trees

A single tree can absorb one tonne of carbon dioxide over its lifetime.

    6. Turn off electronic devices

Simply turning off your television stereo, computer, fans lights when you are not using them will save you thousands of kg of carbon dioxide a year.

    7. Reuse and Recycle

Recycling and re-using products like paper and bottles will protect the environment. Just by reducing your garbage by 25 per cent will reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 1,000 pounds a year.

    8. Move your A/C thermostat up .

You could save about 900 kg of carbon dioxide a year with this simple adjustment. Set the thermostat of the room air conditioner at 25 C to get the most comfort at the least cost.

    9. Use energy efficient computer

Buy a laptop instead of a desktop. It consumes five times less electricity. If you buy a desktop, get an LCD screen.

    10. Make a commitment of reducing your carbon footprint.

Spread different ways to reduce carbon emissions to other people, to your office management or write to decision makers.

no smoking, no barbeque on charcoals, no individual drives(use pub transport to reduce automobile CO2 emissions),

    no fire furnance,

  5. would personally suggest that you bring your car back again and only walk on alternate days when it really suits you, as it is vital and important to have punctuality and arrive at the right time in the work place. For other activities that don't have a direct affect on your life, you can choose to walk.

There are alternative ways to reduce your carbon footprint, for example:

    - Investing in carbon off-setting (i.e. you contribute money to a project which tries to make up for your consumption of carbon, by donating it to conservation projects and renewable energy initiatives)

    - Growing lots of plants in your garden or planting one or two small trees (spice it up - it could be a couple of lettuce, potato, carrot plants - the choice is yours, or you could plant a small apple tree)

    - Reducing the number of flights you take abroad (This has to be the one of the major culrpits for increased global emissions)

    - Switching off the lights once a room is empty (A simple, but nevertheless effective way for carbon crack down)

    - Buy energy-effecient lightbulbs and other electrical appliances (An energy saving bulb only consumes 1/5 of the energy that a normal one does)

    - Switch off electrical appliances like the TV or computer when nobody else is using them (Yet another simple and effective thing to do)

    - And if you have the money, buy an solar panel to provide you with solar energy to power your electricity OR switch your electricity/gas company to a renewable one

    --------

There are a whole load of other ways that you can undertake to reduce your carbon emissions, but hopefully I;ve left you with a few.

    thanks
