How do you converge a CRT Projector?

I have bought a Zenith HD 895X CRT Projector. And I am having trouble woth the convergence. Would like some advice on how to do it.

  1. Your convergence should display a white grid on your screen.

    You need to select the colors and adjust each color at each point till you can not see the color wash over the white line. Using the directional button on the remote you move around the screen to the different convergence points. Look close at them to see if certain colors are washing over the lines. If they are then lock in on that point and using the same directional button adjust left ,right and up, down till there is no color bleed to the top bottom left or right of the line.

    Also, the manual should give you the basics on how to get to the convergence and exactly how it works. otherwise hope for a Zenith expert to answer.

    It can be quite time consuming.


  2. Your best bet with a crt projector is to get in touch with your local isf calibrator.  That person will be able to no only take care of your convergence issues but also properly calibrate the colors and make your projector look its best.  Its definitely worth playing for.
