  1. learn how to use dimensional analysis

    thats how i solve these conversiosn withotu a calculator

  2. A kilometre is 1000 metres, and a centimetre is 1/100 of a metre, so multiply by 100,000.

  3. 1 km= 1000 m = 1000 * 100 cm = 100000 cm

    28 km= 2800000 cm

  4. add 5 zeros.

    28 km = 2800000cm

    37km = 3700000cm

    48km = 4800000cm

    then you can also divide by 100 (take away 2 zeros) to get the answer in meters. You can also  look at the website below. Its great for metric conversion.

  5. 1km=1000m

    100cm=1m

    28km(1000m/1km)(100cm/1m)=2,800,000cm=...

  6. Because:  1km=1000m and 1m=100cm:

    28km  x 1000m x 100cm

    --------------------------------------...   =  2 800 000cm

       1   x       1km     x    1m

    The units above and below, cancels out to give you an answer in cm

  7. Not a chemistry question, just a conversion question

    28 km * 1000 m / 1 km * 100 cm / 1 m

    ans = 2,800,000 cm
