I would like to know the method to this question essentially, however I wouldn't mind the answer along with the method, so that I can check if I got the method right.

  1. Convert kilometers into meters, then convert hours into seconds.

    km into m: 90 * 1000 = 90000m/h

    hr into sec: 90000 / 60 / 60 = 25m/s

    It's 25m/s

  2. First of all multiply 90 by 1000 (because there are 1000 metres in 1 kilometre) to convert the 90km/h to 90000m/h.

    Next, divide 90000 by 60 (because there are 60 minutes in 1 hour) to convert the 90000m/h to 1500m/min.

    Finally, divide 1500 by 60 (because there are 60 seconds in 1 minute) to convert the 1500m/min to 25m/s which is the required answer.

  3. km to m ==> x1000

    hours to seconds ==> x60x60 ( 1 hour = 60 minutes, 1 minute = 60 seconds )

    so 90 km/h ==> 90x1000/1x60x60 m/s = 90000/3600 m/s = 25 m/s

  4. I had tried few online tutoring website and found transwebtutors.com quite interesting,

    you may try this one

  5. 1 km = 1000 m

    ==> 90 km = 90*1000 m = 90000 m

    1 hr = 3600 secs

    So, 90 km/hr = 90000/3600 m/s = 25 m/s

    Not too bad....right?

    [[Missed the hrs/mins/secs thing...grrr]]

    :)

  6. (90km/h) x (1000m/km) x (h/60mins) x (mins/60sec) = 25m/s

  7. The best way to go about answering this question is to decipher each part of the problem little by little.

    First find out the conversions from km to m and h to s.

    There are 1000m in 1km and 3600s in 1hr

    (You can do this at google.com by typing 1hr = ?s or 1km = ?m in the search box)

    Now that we know the conversions we have to apply them.

    90km/hr = ?m/s

    We know that 1km = 1000m so 90km = 90000m

    90000m/hr = ?m/s

    We also know that 1hr = 3600s

    90000m/3600s

    Now divide 90000/3600 = 25

    So the answer would be 25m/s

  8. i don't no the method but i used my phone

    in:

    metre/sec its 25

    miles/h its 55.92341

    feet/sec its 82.021

    i used the converter on my phone and it wont show how to do it try google?

  9. 90 km/h = 90*1000/3600

                 = 25m/s

  10. I used to have problems doing this too. the best way is to break it down and look at it logically. First do the distance part:

    90km to metres, well there are 1000 metres in a Km, you have 90 km, so 90 multiplied by 1000 =  90,000.

    So now you have 90,000 metres an hour (m/h).

    Now do the time aspect of the problem:

    i) you know that there are 60 minutes in an hour, so divide 90,000 by 60 = 1500 metres a minute.

    ii) now you also know there are 60 seconds in an hour, so divide 1500 by 60 =  25 m/s

    You can apply this method to any conversion of this type.

    Hope it helps!

  11. i think you should multiply it by 1000/3600 .
