How do you convert a DVD from another region?

I received some DVDs from a friend in Britain.

You may rip your DVD into your computer, then it will remove the region code limition, if you don't know how to do that, here is a guide for you

One solution may be to copy the DVD using a program such as DVD Fab - the resulting DVD will be region free.

However, if it's from Britain the DVD will still be in the PAL format, so if you live in the USA or another country that uses NTSC, you'll need equipment capable of dealing with that unless you use another program to re-encode the DVD in NTSC format.

Note that the PAL-NTSC thing only applies if you intend to watch the DVD on a TV. If you're watching it on a PC, you should have no problems at all.
