How do you convert a quicktime video to be able to go into windows movie maker?

So when i save the video's from my olympus camera onto my computer they save as quicktime files i think, but it wont let me put the videos onto windows movie maker? Can someone tel me either how to convert the video the right way(because all the times ive tried it hasnt worked) or what else i can do to put the videos onto windows movie maker?

  2. Obviously, you need a video convert to convert mov video your Olympus camera recorded to avi or wmv video WMM supports.

    If you convert video casually, A freeware would be nice.

Quicktime video is mov video, windows movie maker accepts wmv video, You may try aimersoft video converter, I always use it to convert mov to wmv for further editing in windows movie maker, my friends recommend it to me, it's easy to use and works nice for me, and here is a step by step guide about how to use it
