We have a video that we recorded on our camcorder...we were able to put it onto a DVD using a DVD recorder. Now we want to put it onto our blog, but the IFO file format that it is currently in is not usable by pretty much any movie maker. Is there a way to reformat it so that we can edit it and upload it to the internet?

  1. An IFO file is one of three types of files that are used on DVDs. It contains important navigational information, such as where a video chapter begins, and where audio and subtitle streams exist within the movie (VOB) file.

Maybe you're interested in the .vob video files @ DVD folder/ VIDEO_TS/*.vob, which you would want to edit. Most video editing software supports vob, else, try Prism video converter

  2. IFO file is DVD index file, you may try aimersoft dvd ripper, it can convert IFO file to AVI or MPEG for the internet, my friends recommend it to me, it's easy to use and works nice for me, here is a step by step guide about it

Hope it helps, if you still have problem, feel free to e-mail me :)
